About us
Department of Electrical Electronics Engineering started in the Year 1995 and has been functioning effectively making commendable contribution towards teaching and learning. The department has highly qualified and dedicated members in all major areas of discipline. Harnessing electrical energy is the challenge for electrical engineers. The power packed EEE department inspires budding Electrical Engineers with the potent idea of constructing generating stations, transmission lines distribution systems. Our field also finds its expertise in designing, testing and supervising the manufacture of various electrical electronic equipment used in real time applications.

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 1995. The post graduate programme M.E-Power Electronics and Drives was established in the year of 2003. The department is recognized as a collaborative research centre with Anna University in the year of 2004. The department was accredited by NBA(in 2003&2009) & NAAC(in 2005&2015). Several Research Projects have been funded by AICTE through MODROB and RPS Schemes. The department, in all areas, is being supported by several experienced and skilled faculty members and staff. The department is well equipped with laboratories and has computing facilities with latest software like MATLAB, PSPICE, ETAP and PSCAD etc.

HOD'S PROFILE:
1.20 years of teaching experience.
2.Published more than 30 Papers in international journals and conferences.
3.Fellow member of IEI,Life member of IET, IEAE& ISTE.
4.Anna university Recognized supervisor for M.S/PhD &Guiding two research scholars (Ph.d).
5. Received best out standing teacher award from Pearl foundation.
6.Best teacher Award from Jerusalem college of engineering.
7.Best performer award from JCE.
8. Committed faculty award from JCE.
9. Editorial board member of IEAE, IJCERT journal.

  • To encourage cross border research with innovative ideas and to impart the quality of life-long learning based on ethical values.

  • PEO 1:
    Graduates use their broad knowledge of electrical engineering as a foundation for on-going learning, and to have realized some success early in their professional careers.

    Graduates use their creative and critical reasoning skillsto solve technical problems, ethically and responsibly, in service to society.
  • PEO 3:
    Graduates learn and adapt themselves to the constantly evolving technology by pursuing higher studies.
  • PEO 4:
    Graduates, within few years of graduation, should demonstrate leadership and initiative to organizational goals, facilitate the achievements of others, and obtain substantive results.
  • PEO 5:
    Graduates, within few years of graduation, shoulddemonstrate a commitment to teamwork while working with others of diverse cultural and interdisciplinary research.
PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)
  • PSO 1:
    Able to utilize the knowledge of Power Electronics and Drives in collaboration with power systems in innovative, dynamic and challenging environment, for the research based teamwork.
  • PSO 2:
    Can explore the scientific theories, ideas, methodologies in renewable energy engineering, and use this erudition in their professional envelopment and gain sufficient competence to solve the current and future energy problems universally.
  • PSO 3:
    The understanding of technologies like PLC, PMC, process controllers, transducers and HMI one can analyze, design electrical and electronics principles to install, test, maintain power system and applications.
