JIIC is established under the ambit of Jerusalem College of Engineering (JCE), an autonomous institution, accredited by NBA with NAAC with A grade. JIIC has 6250 sq. ft state-of-art facility to facilitate startup’s and entrepreneurial & innovative ecosystem.

Objective:

The overall purpose of setting up an incubation council is to promote a culture of innovation and encourage, nurture creativity of our budding engineers and prospective entrepreneurs towards launching commercially viable startup companies. In addition, this proposed incubation council would help the people around Chennai who seek working space, technical support and market analysis for establishing their startup venture.

Vision:

To establish state of the art incubation council to cater start up guidance, technological support and nurture young firms to grow eventually to succeed through industry connect and mentoring.

Mission:
  • Provide physical infrastructure such as co-working space, uninterruptable power, interdisciplinary lab facility, and computing & internet facility to motivate the young entrepreneur.
  • Motivate students, alumni, faculty& staff members of parent institution and people around the college to plan for startup through entrepreneurial talks and awareness.
  • Aid the young entrepreneurs in providing technical support, financial support, legal services, equip them with training & workshops and guide them for suitable market.
  • Associate academic institutions, partner contract with research institutions and industries, motivate technology patent and Intrapreneurship support.
Incubation Council facilities:

Fourth floor of the new building is identified for establishing JIIC. This floor has the following infrastructures and shall be used for various requirements of incubation council.

  • Two seminar halls with dimension of 32’x30’size furnished with 60 chairs, chalk board, white board etc.
  • Nine halls of size 30’x16’ for the purpose a classroom, JIIC office and sub centres of JIIC.

  • Wash room facility for staff and students in fourth floor (Gents) and third floor (ladies)

MSME INCUBATION CENTER
  • open to MSMEs, Indian startups, Indian Companies, Students/ Developers/ Professionals/ Community members
  • Students of 3rd & 4th year of undergraduate, graduate, post graduates of professional courses as well as Researchers of are allowed.
  • The Selected start-up company / Incubatee will be hosted and seeded in the incubator for a period of 1 year, for which a part of the grant will be utilized.
