The department of Biomedical Engineering conducted Seminar under the banner of "Alumni interaction series" on 21.04.2025 from 10.00 a.m to 11.30 a.m, titled " Requirements for the Competence of Testing & Calibration Laboratories ". The session was delivered by Mr. L. Sathiyamoorthy (Alumnus: 2012-2016 batch), Senior Calibration Engineer, Centre for Calibration and Testing of Medical Equipment (CCTME), The National Hub for Healthcare Instrumentation Development (NHHID), Anna University, Chennai.
Dr. J. Samuel Manoharan, Head, Dept. of BME was the Convener and Ms. S. Purnima, Asst. Professor & Alumni Coordinator of the department was the Coordinator of this program. Around 75 BME student members benefited from this seminar and got insight on the need for calibrating medical equipment, standards and regulatory policies for verification of the same.
