Associate Professor & Head

Greetings!! I’m delighted to welcome you all to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jerusalem College of Engineering, Chennai.

The Department was established in the academic year 1995-1996 which offers a four-year B.E-Computer Science and Engineering degree programme with an intake of 120 students. With a vision to create the engineers as technical intellects, the department offers a Post Graduate programme, M.E- Computer Science and Engineering from the year 2003. The department is also recognized as a Nodal Research Centre by Anna University in the year 2013.

The Department seeks to generate top-notch professionals in the field of computer science and engineering and excel at research and development. It has well-maintained labs that are equipped with the latest software and open-source technologies. The department is dedicated to provide the best education and practical facilities to its students. A variety of computing facilities are available for our faculty members, students and staff.

Our faculty have excellent academic knowledge and assist students to be dynamic in choosing and pursuing their interest. In addition to academic excellence, we emphasize a career-oriented approach for our students. This is achieved through industry internships, technical seminars, certification courses and workshops that provide practical exposure and industry insights.

Our students run a vibrant CSI-Students chapter and used to conduct various technical events. In addition to this, we have specialized computing clubs namely Coding club, Innovation club, Multimedia club and Robotics club through which lots of technical enhancement and upskilling happens which leads our students to participate and won in various state level and national level technical hackathons.

The Department is actively engaged in research activities in various research areas. Students along with their mentors constantly work on various research projects and published papers in reputed National and International Journals/Conferences. The Department’s research activities have been funded by Government organizations and several industries.

As Head of the Department I believe that my faculty members are working with great team-spirit to create the best technocrats for the industry and provide tech-savvy solutions for the real time requirements.
