The Department of Biomedical Engineering had organized an Alumni Talk on "Career Avenues for a Biomedical Engineer as calibration Engineer" on 30.03.2026 between 10.00 to 11.30 a.m. for third year BME students.

Students gained knowledge on:

Device Calibration & Testing: Adjusting and validating devices such as patient monitors, defibrillators, ventilators, and dialysis machines using specialized tools.

Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensuring equipment meets safety standards (e.g., NABH, FDA, ISO) to ensure patient safety and data accuracy.

Preventive Maintenance: Developing schedules, performing, and documenting routine checks to prevent device failure.

Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnosing faults during calibration to ensure reliable operation.
