The library is fully computerized and barcode system is followed in all transactions. Online Public access catalogue system is available for the users.
The library is providing Reprographic services (photo-copy) to the users. An assistant is allocated for this.
The library renders Reference service, Periodical Service, Audio-visual service, Book Bank service for SC/ST students
The library has Inter Library Loan facility with Anna University, I British Council Library and MALIBNET (Madras Library Network). The faculty, staff and students are benefited by this facility.
The library has a separate Audio-Visual Room. Audio-Visual classes are conducted from various departments specially the Science & Humanities department. The audio-visual room is also utilized for conducting workshops.
The library provides five books for faculty and one for the supporting staff. The students can access three books. As an encouragement to the 10 toppers in each department, one extra book is issued.
The library provides Charging-Discharging services and maintaining separate utility register.
New additions are circulated to all the head of the departments for their file and further recommendations.
The library is kept open for the use of students, faculty and the staff from 8.00 a.m to 6.30 pm.

All the faculty and students are members of the Library.
All the members are requested to enroll their names in the GATE REGISTER maintained by the library. The rules are strictly followed.
Books are issued to the members against the ID Card.
After the due date a over due charge of 1.00 rupee per day per book is levied. Remittance is done in the accounts department.
Members should produce the Identify card at the time of borrowing books.
Members are responsible for any books /Periodicals/CDs borrowed by them.
Members are not allowed to take their belonging like bags, umbrellas etc,. Paper may be allowed to take notes in the library.
Members are expected to handle the books /periodicals with care.
Before leaving the counter , the members should satisfy themselves if the books lent to him /her are in good condition and if not he/she is expected it bring it to the notice of the librarian immediately.
Strict silence and decorum must be observed.
All the members are requested to strictly adhere the rules and regulations of the library.
