The JCE team, comprising of IV year ECE students won second place with a cash award of Rs.75000 in the National Level Underwater Robotics Workshop held at NIOT on 1-2 June 2026. Akalya J, Soundar Palanibharathi K and Sowmiya P, has developed a bio-inspired autonomous micro surface vehicle (ASV) under the guidance of Dr. Sheeja V Francis Professor & Head- ECE, JCE, and Dr.V.Bala Naga Jyothi, Scientist E, Deep Sea Technology, NIOT Chennai.
