Computer Science and Business Systems (CS & BS) is an Engineering program that integrates core computer science concepts with management studies, combining technical expertise with business and managerial perspectives. Students study computer science alongside finance, accounting, and management to design and analyze software and hardware solutions for business, scientific, and social applications.

Computing technologies play a vital role across sectors such as education, transportation, banking, healthcare, and business operations. Through courses including artificial intelligence, database management, cloud computing, cybersecurity, bioinformatics, and operations research, students gain practical skills to address real-time challenges. Graduates are prepared for careers in system design and analysis, networking, database administration, web development, and technical leadership roles.

Welcome to the Department of Computer Science & Business Systems (CS & BS) at Jerusalem College of Engineering (Autonomous), Chennai.

Established in 2021-22, the department offers a four-year B.Tech. program with an annual intake of 30 students. The curriculum combines technical expertise with business insights, enabling students to transform data into actionable solutions and develop strong skills in programming, problem-solving, and managerial decision-making.

Our highly qualified faculty, experts in various domains of Computer Science and Management, actively engage in research, workshops, and modern teaching practices to ensure effective learning. The department is equipped with nine laboratories, including a dedicated research lab, smart classrooms, seminar halls, and advanced ICT facilities for hands-on training.

Students gain exposure to emerging technologies and industry practices through professional forums like IEEE, IE(I), CSI, along with internships, industrial visits, and collaborative projects. Active participation in technical associations and clubs further enhances their learning and professional growth.

  • PEO1: To ensure graduates will be proficient in utilizing the fundamental knowledge of basic sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science and Business systems for the applications relevant to various streams of Engineering and Technology.
