The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 1999. The department is headed by Prof. Dr.K.Sundaramoorthy with strong knowledge in Information Science and Technology domain and IT industrial exposure. The department is currently walking briskly towards with highly dynamic and dedicated team of faculty members and with technically certified supporting staffs. The Department Academicians are from various reputed universities with high educational engineering qualifications which mainly belong to current technological research areas. This makes it one of the (top colleges for information technology in Chennai.)

Welcome to Department of Information and Technology. The curriculum intensive coaching and hands-on course work give students a holistic view of the field. Taught by our faculty, students will be able to explore subjects critical to advancement in today high tech society. The department seeks to combine excellence in education with service to the industry. The expertise of faculties is broad to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of societal needs. Students are nurtured to become best in the industry or become Entrepreneurs in their own.

  • Apart from making them good technocrats, the departments also provides individual attention to every student to create good citizens and to serve the nation constructively. The outcome of the department’s forthright research and industry oriented activities which yields the numerous students are getting opportunities to place their foot prints in various International and National forum.

    The department has well infrastructured laboratories with high end systems, a well-equipped seminar hall, a department library and smart rooms with e-learning facilities.

    The students won many awards like ISTE TN Section Best Student award, National level Best project award and many more to prove their excellence in the field of academics. Our department has taken pioneering initiatives for improving the technical expertise of our students by organizing International and National conferences. The department consists of Association of Information Technologists (AIT) for student’s welfare to enrich the student’s knowledge by conducting National and State Level Symposiums, Technical workshops, Seminars and Short Term Training Programme (STTPs) actively every year.

    The Placement record of the department is excelling and achieving top companies placements for our department students. The Department has deep roots and has consistently maintained its top position and this is possible only with the help of the strong staff support to the department. Different domain based research involvements are taken up periodically to the department students and further IT industry requirements. Most of the research implementations are published in international and national journals and the department encourages the students to present their work in international level conferences. The department also directs the students to reach their higher education in world class top universities. The staff and students are active members of ISTE.
