Guest Lecture on "Cyber Security Insights & Opportunities"

Augmentation Cell of JCE, organised an "Orientation Seminar on Study Abroad " on 8/4/24. Ms.Kirthana and Mr. Dinesh, International Education Specialists, IDP International Education handled the session. They explained about the importance of preparation towards IELTS exams,how to apply for Universities abroad,to secure scholarship and visa processing . About 60 students from BME , CSE and CSBS participated in this Orientation program.The students gained knowledge and the importance of proper training to secure the seats at universities abroad.

The Department of ECE has conducted a workshop on 13.3.24 on "PCB DESIGN FOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT USING ORCAD" by Mr.Sundharraj J V ,Manager,CADD Infotech and Mr.Gowtham M,Technical Lead,CADD Infotech.The students of second year participated and got benefited.

Technovation Club of ECE Department successfully conducted two days' workshop Geniuno Genesis on 14th and 15th March 2024.The workshop received an enthusiastic registration of 33 students. The students were given insights of fundamental concepts of microprocessor, microcontrollers, and development of Arduino boards. The students had hands-on training to work with the Arduino UNO board. The workshop provided a platform for the students to learn and code by themselves. The resource persons for the workshop were Valan Raj S III ECE, Nitish Roy F III ECE, Ms.R.Malathy Assistant Professor /ECE and Dr.G.Merlin Sheeba Professor/ECE .The event was convened by Dr.Sheeja V Francis HOD/ECE and the Faculty coordinators of the event were Dr.G.Merlin Sheeba Professor/ECE and Ms.R.Malathy Assistant Professor /ECE. The workshop was successfully coordinated by the Technovation club coordinators Ashraf III ECE, Deepak III ECE and Suvetha Bharathi III ECE.

The Association of ECE conducted the intra department contest "Campus connect"

The IIL Club of ECE Dept organized the events "Prototype Modelling Contest" & 'Project Expo 2k24' in association with IE(I) & IETE Societies on 11.03.2024. 32 projects were displayed by the student batches of II, III & IV year ECE

A value added course on “Machine Learning and its Applications” was organized by Department of ECE between 13/02/24 to 17/02/24.Third year students of ECE department attended the value addition program.

Students of Second and Third year from Electronics and Communication Engineering attended Industrial visit at Renewable Energy Expo, Trade centre, Chennai on 09.01.2024 & 10.01.2024.

Department of ECE had an orientation program towards counseling by Mr.Gopinath for second years on 23.1.24

Department of ECE have conducted an Alumni talk for II & III year students of the Department of ECE on 10.01.2023 (Tuesday) between 02.30 pm and 3.30 pm on the topic "Career opportunities in the field of Data Engineering " by our Alumni Mr. Abishak Jobe, of 2016-2020 Batch, Deputy Manager, Credit Analytics and Innovation, Data Engineer II, HDFC,Chennai.

Department of ECE have conducted an Alumni talk for II and III year students on 28.01.2023 (Saturday) by Ms. Kavitha.G, project manager, Capegemini on the topic" New trends in aerospace and next gen career aspirations in a BANI World"

Report On Project Display By The Department Of ECE 24th November 2022

Department of ECE organized a Two Days Workshop on “Tinker your idea to prototype” from 28.09.2022 to 29.09.2022.The main objective of this workshop training programme is to impart knowledge to the participants in the field of embedded system and Prototype development.

Department of ECE organized a value added course on "NETWORK DEVICES AND ITS CONFIGURATION" from 13.09.2022 to 17.09.2022 .

Department of ECE and EEE jointly organized a guest lecture titled "Insights into Internship & Career Opportunities in Core Sector" on 12.09.2022 at 2.00pm in the ECE Smart room. Mr.Mani,Cloudkampus,Chennai was the resource person.

Department of ECE organized an Alumni Talk on 07.09.2022 at 2.00pm.in the seminar hall. Mr.B Sunil ( ECE Batch 2009-2013) a successful Entrepreneur, Co-Founder Lefi Agro & Agritech, Chennai, had delivered and interacted with our students on the topic, Hydroponics and Microgreens-Facilitating the Agriculture sector with Automation technologies.

The Department of ECE conducted the Inaugural function of Association of ECE on 29.8.2022 in the auditorium . The Principal presided over the function. Chief guest for the function was Mr.Karunanidhi .E, Manager – Human Resources,Jasmin Infotech private Ltd ,Chennai.. All the ECE faculty members and students attended the function. The Principal, HOD ,DEAN and the Chief guest gave away the badges to the office bearers of AECE.

The Department of ECE organized a guest lecture for FINAL YEAR students on "Higher studies in abroad". The resource person was Mr.Abdul Navas, Sr Business development manager, KC Overseas Education, Chennai.

The Department of ECE organized an alumni lecture on "Knowing yourself" by Ms.Varalakshmi Munuswamy Batch (2005-2009), Global Senior Manager, Unilever Limited.

The Department of ECE organized a guest lecture for FINAL YEAR students on "Digital image processing:A matlab perspective" on 24.8.2022 in the seminar hall. The resource person was Dr. R.Vijayarajan, Associate Professor,School of Electronics,Vellore Institute of Technology,Chennai.

Students of Second year from Electronics and Communication Engineering attended Industrial visit at TVS TRAINING AND SERVICES Ltd, Ambattur, Chennai on 25.08.2022.

Industrial Visit to AGIIT

Department of ECE organized a visit to "TECH EXPO 2022" held at Anna University Main Campus, Guindy, Chennai on 11th August 2022 to get exposed in the new emerging/ designed products / process with relevant hardware / software in the areas such as Agriculture, Food, Environment, Water resources, Energy, Material Science, Life Sciences, Defence, Healthcare, Space Technologies etc. Ten students along with the faculty Ms.Rajasaranya attended the event.

Hearty Congratulations to Mentor Ms.RAJASARANYA.K and team of students VAISHNAVI. C A S (2019 -2023), JAGADEESH.E (2018- 2022), RAGHUL SHREE.A (2018- 2022) and ROHITH VIJAEY.M C (2018- 2022) who actively participated in the TechNovuus Mobility Hackathon, conducted by ARAI at Pune in July 2022 and received their certificate of appreciation.

Mr.Laxmanaa.G, Project Coordinator, SolvEdge Technology Solutions,Chennai, was the resource person.

The Department of ECE organized an industrial visit to BSNL Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Telecom Training Centre,Meenambakkam for second year students on 24.05.2022.
